French Miniature Horse: Cheval Miniature

Growing interest in Scott Creek Farms mini horses created a necessity: international sales and international shipping. Customers in Holland were seeking Scott Creek minipaard and we were delighted. However, getting one of our prized miniature horses from Salem, Oregon to Holland was another matter altogether. And when we were contacted by interested parties in France, we were pleased that one of our cheval miniature would be loved and showed on French soil by dedicated owners. Getting a desired colt or foal from this side of the Pacific to that side of the Atlantic was the only obstacle.

International shipping requires an exhaustive range of requirements and procedures. Joanne, however, has not only learned the ropes of these regulations that allow us to sell a cheval miniature to a customer in France, for instance, we have also acquired USDA sanctioning to serve as a quarantine facility. This has allowed us to much more easily provide a miniaturpferde to a native of Germany, for example. It has also made Scott Creek a sort of travel agency for international horse shipments. Coordinating with veterinarians, air transport companies and more is part of this service, and it allows us to insure safe travel for our elegant equine charges.

When it's time for one of our horses to take a trip overseas to be united with its new owner, we wouldn't think of sending it off on its own. Joanne or another highly qualified individual attends the miniaturpferde that may be headed to the Germany. We've accompanied our horses to England, Holland, France, Germany, Denmark (where they refer to these excellent animals as miniatureheste), Holland, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Canada, and even Panama. Legal documents are kept in hand, and safety and comfort are paramount.
